Tell 'em about what you're doing.

Do you need to? Yes, probably.

Appropriate advertising is vital to the healthy growth of most businesses.

Probably most of us are familiar with Orwell's noted jibe of:

'Advertising is the rattling of a stick inside a swill pail.'

And, in an era of 'social networking', it's almost certain some folk consider advertising wholly unnecessary. ('Good luck with that', while your head was up your ass, it's now been discovered that the sun doesn't spin round a flat Earth.)

The smart money knows different.

Get your message out.

If you're interested in getting attention, attracting customers and selling your stuff… advertising on this site is a  good   great  very sensible way to do so.

It's simple, quick, inexpensive. And effective.

Where?

We run ads in three places on every page.

  • A banner up at the top (alongside the logo).
  • Another banner toward the foot of the page (after the text).
  • A block in the sidebar.

They're hooked-up to some techno gizmo which shuffles things around, distributing ads throughout the site and displaying different ones every time a page loads or is refreshed.

How long, how much?

Ads are booked monthly, with banners @ $100 and blocks @ $250 monthly.

And…

  • There are discounts for longer placement. (So when booking for 3/6/12 months you'll save moolah.)
  • And premiums for specific placement. (That 'I only want the front page' deal will hurt financially.)

For details of those deals, contact us.

(If you're  anal enough  interested, you can read how we work this stuff out.)

Here's a deal to get started…

Those rates are based on our being fully active—healthy traffic and lots of pages to view. Currently, we're not, so we've sweetened the pricing.

[Rather than whore ourselves around town from the get-go, we've chosen to first build a decent site with good content and during that time to not bother trying to sell ads. (Google did that too—the whole first year they had no ads… who knew that?) That's now done, so it's time to sell the ad slots.]

We're still building traffic to our envisaged levels on which we've calculated our 'proper' rates, so during this time we're sidelining the usual monthly arrangement and offering one simple deal:

All advertising booked between now (September 1 2009) and December 31 will be on display until December 31, but only costs the standard rate you'd pay for one month.

So, get in quick enough and you'll enjoy four months' ads for the price of just one.

Advertising booked from January 1 2010 will be at normal monthly rates.

Ain't got no graphics?

If you don't have a graphic for your ad that's not a problem—we'll create one for you for just $45.

It'll be simple & elegant; if you want something extra, we'll agree a price.

'Roll up, roll up—step right this way…'

Now you know, here's the entirely-unsophisticated PayPal links so's you can begin the process.

Banner, display 'til December 31 $100 »

Block, display 'til December 31 $250 »

Artwork, $45 »

Anything else?

When we receive your order, we'll contact you to complete placement (ad details & site links etcetera).

We usually get ads placed within 48 hours, and often same-day.

And yes, for the right money we can hack things so that specific ads appear on certain pages. If you want such precise placement, tell us and we'll work-out a deal.
